(DAKOTA DUNES, SD) – CNOS physicians and staff are holding the Coaches Golf
Invitational 2022 on Monday, June 13 at Two Rivers Golf Club in Dakota Dunes.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Siouxland Soup Kitchen.
“It will be a great day to get outside and play some golf for a cause,” said David
Rettedal, DPM of CNOS, also a Siouxland Soup Kitchen board member. “The Siouxland
Soup Kitchen serves a great need and we’re happy to support it.”
The invitational event is a four-person scramble, with registration from 10-11 a.m. on
June 13 and an 11 a.m. shotgun start. Lunch will be provided before the start.
Siouxland Soup Kitchen was founded in 1987 with a simple mission: To provide a free
hot meal to anyone in need. The kitchen is 100 percent sustained by community donors
and volunteers. The new facility is under construction at the corner of 9th and Nebraska.
“It’s a few blocks from Siouxland Community Health and Siouxland District Health, both
of which provide services to the less fortunate,” said Lyn Armentrout, Director of the
Siouxland Soup Kitchen. “We strive to provide a hearty and nutritious meal to anyone,
knowing that the meal we provide is many people’s only meal of the day.”
