About

Theresa started her medical career in 1995 as a registered nurse in the emergency medicine and surgery departments at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Carroll, Iowa. Wanting to continue her education, Theresa completed her Physician Assistant degree while on active duty with the US Army and returned to work as an Orthopedic Physician Assistant with Miller Orthopedics in Council Bluffs, Iowa, beginning in 2004. She then relocated to Sioux City in 2017 to continue her dedication to working as an Orthopedic Physician Assistant. The Army continues to provide the opportunity to strive for leadership excellence and commit to lifelong medical learning.

Theresa received her Master Degree of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) with Specialization in Orthopedic Surgery in 2004. She provides highly competent and compassionate care in the orthopedic surgery and orthopedic clinic setting. She is specialty trained in conditions involving osteoarthritis, fractures, osteoporosis and lumbar spine. Theresa is co-author on several studies published in Journal of Arthroplasty and Iowa Journal of Orthopedics.

Military Service: Theresa graduated, with honors, from the Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPAP), while serving on active duty with the US Army. She completed the Air Medical Program (AMP) enabling her to assist with the medical readiness of the flight personnel in the military. Theresa currently continues to serve her country in the US Army Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel stationed in Nebraska. She provides medical care and education to soldiers throughout the United States.

Theresa enjoys spending time with her family and her animals. She enjoys motorcycle riding and bicycling. Sunny vacations are what she enjoys the most.
