About

After working several years in the business world of Gateway, Marty became a Physical Therapist at CNOS in 2009, and began his career working with geriatric patients in nursing home settings. He soon transitioned to Mercy Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa where he served patients during hospitalization and recovery from acute injury. This included multiple years of experience working in Mercy’s inpatient rehab unit, where patients with catastrophic injuries such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, and multi-limb fractures began recovery. This gave Marty the experience and passion for treating neurological disorders, and he has supplemented his experience by training on the leading physical therapy treatment program for Parkinson’s, LSVT BIG®. Marty currently serves patients on an inpatient basis at the Dunes Surgical Hospital for those recovering from surgeries and on an outpatient basis at multiple sites.

Marty enjoys spending time with his family, which usually means spending time at kids’ events for swimming, wrestling, soccer or track. He also enjoys hiking in his free time. Marty has served on the advisory board for Briar Cliff University’s Doctoral Program for Physical Therapy since the inception of the program.
