Kim has been an OT for over 32 years. She has a B.S. in Biology from Iowa Wesleyan College/University and a B.S in Occupational therapy from Saint Ambrose University. She has worked in all areas of Occupational therapy including long term & skilled nursing care, home health care, pediatric clinics , the school system, outpatient neuro/ortho, inpatient neuro rehab, burns, driving programs, and mental health. Kim was also a Clinic Specialist at one time, providing core program trainings such as dementia care, fall prevention, vision, continence management, and mental health awareness.
Prior to coming back to CNOS (after a 16 year hiatus), she was a Therapy Expert in Abilities Care Holistic Approach. Kim provided trainings in a Dementia program called “Abilities Care for Ensign Therapies”. She is also certified in Neuro Developmental Techs (NDT), Lymphedema, and LSVT (Parkinson’s program). She is able to provide vision therapy when needed and is currently working on becoming a certified OT vision specialist. Another goal of Kim’s is to take the Certified Hand Therapy test in the near future and add that to her list of specialties.
Outside of work, Kim enjoys spending time with family and friends, church missions/activities, outdoor activities, sports, and crafting/painting. She loves spending time with her 2 dogs (Sophie and Chloe) and mainly enjoys just having fun and living life to the absolute fullest!
