Dr. Prashanth Anand specializes in general orthopaedic trauma, sports medicine, foot and ankle surgery, joint replacement and primary arthroplasty of knee, hip and shoulder. Dr. Anand is Board Certified by the American Board of Clinical Orthopedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
Dr. Anand values ongoing education and remains connected to his professional organizations and peers by serving as an active reviewer for a number of Orthopaedic Journals. As a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine and the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society, Dr. Anand remains in touch with current best practices and actively utilizes these resources to serve his patients.
He believes firmly in evidence based medicine and provides honest professional opinions informed by his vast experience and commitment to a thorough approach to evaluation, diagnosis and treatment.
During his fellowship, Dr. Anand published several peer reviewed articles and also presented his research at the Arthroscopy Association of North America annual meeting. His fellowship also provided him the opportunity to serve as assistant team physician for the Baltimore Ravens football team and the Washington Nationals baseball team.
Beginning his practice in 2012 in Illinois, Dr. Anand was the sole orthopaedic surgeon in the area and has seen, treated and evaluated thousands of non-operative and surgical patients.

Dr. Anand is married, has two children, loves to travel, and plays tennis and cricket.
