Dr. David Rettedal is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon. He has advanced surgical training in foot and ankle trauma and reconstruction, mid-foot and hind-foot fusion, ankle arthroscopy, total ankle replacement, tendon transfers and repair, and external fixation. He completed his residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center with renowned leaders in foot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Rettedal grew up in Scotland, South Dakota. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in biology from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD. He then went on to get his podiatric medical degree from Des Moines University. Dr. Rettedal is board-certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. His experience includes a wide array of surgical and conservative management of the foot and ankle.
In his spare time, Dr. Rettedal is an avid golfer and enjoys running, fishing, and live music events. He is a sports fan, and roots for the Minnesota Vikings and Twins.
