Dr. Alexander Sarkisian is a fellowship-trained gastroenterologist focusing on hepatology and obesity disorders. He is also board-certified in internal and obesity medicine.
Originally from San Diego, California Dr. Sarkisian moved to New York City for medical training, obtaining his medical degree at Weill Cornell Medical College. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orlean s, Louisiana. During his fellowship, he obtained a board certification in Obesity Medicine.
Dr. Sarkisian has a strong interest in the management of obesity with pharmacological and endoscopic interventions. Several of his patients have been able to improve their overall well-being and digestive health after a supervised regimen to promote healthy weight loss.
In his free time, Dr. Sarkisian enjoys time with his wife and their three children as well as fishing, gardening and swimming.
